Cleaning & Refresh

Over time, even the finest jewellery loses some of its sparkle.

Our professional cleaning and refresh service removes everyday residue and restores the brilliance of your jewellery while giving the piece a careful visual check.

Polishing

Everyday wear can leave small marks and take away some of the original finish.

Our polishing service is carefully carried out according to the jewellery and its finish. Not every piece requires polishing, and in some cases we may recommend leaving the original surface untouched.

Setting Check

Your gemstones deserve attention long before there is a problem.

We can examine the settings, prongs, clasps and other important parts of your jewellery to identify signs of wear or movement.

Repairs

Jewellery sometimes needs a craftsman's hand.

Whether it is a damaged clasp, a loose setting, a broken chain or another repair, we first examine the piece and understand what it needs.

Once the work has been assessed, we share the service quotation with you.

Nothing additional is carried out without your approval.

Resizing

The perfect ring should feel as comfortable as it looks.

If your ring needs to be made larger or smaller, our team will first check whether the design and construction allow it to be resized safely.

Some pieces can be resized beautifully. Others are better left untouched.

Gemstone Care

Gemstones need different kinds of care.

Diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires and other gemstones each have their own characteristics and sensitivities.

Our team can assess eligible jewellery for cleaning, setting concerns, stone security and other service requirements.

If a stone needs to be removed, replaced or reset, we will discuss the work with you before proceeding.

Restoration

Some pieces deserve more than a repair.

They deserve to be brought back to life.

Our restoration service is for jewellery that has experienced years of wear, damage or previous alterations.

Depending on the piece, restoration may involve rebuilding, refinishing, resetting stones or replacing individual components.

Every restoration is different.

We will examine your jewellery, explain what can realistically be done and provide a quotation before beginning the work.

Your jewellery is treated individually.

We never want to guess what a piece needs.

When jewellery comes to us for service, our team may photograph it, examine its condition, record its weight or make other observations before accepting it for work.

This allows us to understand the piece properly and gives both you and Janki a clear record of its condition.

If there are existing scratches, damage, loose stones, previous repairs or other concerns, these may be recorded before the service begins.

We recommend the right service

Once the jewellery has been assessed, we will explain what we recommend and why.

You will know the service involved and the applicable charges before we proceed.

You approve

Once you are comfortable with the quotation, we begin the approved work.

If something unexpected is discovered during the service, we will contact you before carrying out additional chargeable work.

We take care of the rest

After the service is complete, your jewellery is checked before it is returned to you.

A small note before you send your jewellery

For your protection and ours, we maintain appropriate records when jewellery is accepted for service.

Depending on the piece and the service, this may include photographs, videos, weight, measurements and notes about its condition.

We may also require details about the jewellery and its purchase history.

This helps us make sure that the right piece is received, the right work is performed and the right piece is returned.

A few things worth knowing

Jewellery is delicate and every piece is different.

Older jewellery, previously repaired jewellery, heavily worn jewellery and pieces that have been modified by another jeweller may require additional care or may not always be suitable for the requested service.

Sometimes the safest thing we can recommend is not to proceed.

We may decline a service if we believe the requested work could compromise the jewellery or if we cannot reasonably establish the item's identity, condition or ownership.

Where gemstones or important components need to be removed, replaced or altered, we will discuss the proposed work with you before proceeding.

Some alterations are permanent, so please make sure you are comfortable with the proposed work before giving approval.

Service charges, taxes, delivery charges and any required components are additional where applicable and will be communicated before the relevant work is undertaken.
