Gold, rose gold and rhodium plated jewellery will naturally show signs of wear with time. The areas that are touched and rubbed the most may slowly lose their finish. That is a normal part of wearing jewellery.

At Janki, we don't believe that our relationship with you should end when you take your jewellery home.

For eligible Janki jewellery, we offer a Lifetime Plating Service.

Whenever your jewellery needs its finish restored, you can bring it or send it back to us. We will inspect the piece, prepare it properly and have it replated to bring back its original look.

So you don't have to worry about how your jewellery will look a few years from now.

Wear it. Enjoy it. And when it needs us, send it back.

What happens when you send it to us?

Every piece is checked before we work on it.

We look at the condition of the jewellery, the existing plating, the stones and the overall finish. If it only needs plating, we take care of it accordingly.

If we notice that something else needs attention, such as a loose stone, worn setting, damaged component or polishing requirement, we will tell you before doing any additional work.

There are no surprises.

You decide what you want us to do.

Why do you need replating?

Plating is a very thin layer on the surface of jewellery. With regular use, it gradually wears away.

How quickly this happens depends on the piece and how you wear it. Rings, for example, generally experience more friction than earrings or pendants.

Perfume, creams, sweat, water, chemicals and everyday contact can also affect the finish.

It doesn't mean your jewellery is of poor quality.

It means you've been wearing it.

And jewellery is meant to be worn.

More than just plating

Over the years, jewellery can need other kinds of attention too.

A stone may need tightening. A clasp may need adjustment. A surface may need polishing. A piece may need minor repair or restoration.

Whenever you send your jewellery to us for its lifetime plating service, we have an opportunity to look at it properly.

If something needs attention, we'll let you know.

If everything is fine, we'll simply plate it and send it back.
